A large number of Gwinnett County helping agencies are often in critical need of items to assist their clients: food, personal care items, cleaning products, coats for winter time, blankets for seniors, toilet paper, school supplies and much more.
How can you meet a need?
An elderly senior living in poverty in Buford had been very ill and unable to purchase toilet paper to help her through her illness…you can help make a difference for her, and for many in Gwinnett County by holding a toilet paper drive! GGDOS will ensure that your donations will go to the right people to help meet needs like this in our community.
Laundry Detergent (pods)
There is a critical need for laundry detergent pods at several extended stay hotels where most of our homeless families survive from week to week. The lack of laundry soap has resulted in several hygiene issues among children and families becoming ill from soiled, unclean garments. Make a difference and hold a ‘pod’ drive!
Right now, thousands of families in Gwinnett County are struggling to provide daily meals for their children. Thankfully, local Gwinnett County food banks, in cooperation with volunteers and generous donors, have been able to provide food staples and simple household items to many families. Shelves need constant restocking and you can help! Collect canned goods, protein items like ham in a can, peanut butter and jelly…feed hunger!
