Corporate and Community Teams
The Gwinnett Coalition for Health and Human Services is planning its 12th annual Gwinnett Great Days of Service scheduled for Friday, September 30 and Saturday October 1, 2011. This remarkable event engages thousands of volunteers in a day of community service throughout Gwinnett County. Last year, over 95,000 volunteers participated, including individuals from large corporations, schools, small businesses, church groups, and families, and amazingly completed over 500 community service projects, making it one of the largest volunteer initiatives in the country!
We partner together corporate and community teams with local agencies to work side-by-side on a specific service project to make a difference in our community. Gwinnett Great Days of Service addresses specific needs in Gwinnett County by providing volunteers to complete much-needed service projects for local non-profits, schools, and churches. These collaborative projects build community while educating people from our community of the critical needs around them and in their own backyards.
This event could not happen without the support of the community, our sponsors, and YOU! And the best part, getting involved with Gwinnett Great Days of Service is easy, fun and a great way for your colleagues to bond, build camaraderie, and feel good about a job well done.
Please consider volunteering for this very worthy and fun cause. There are several ways for you, your family and friends, and your co-workers to get involved:
- Sponsor a volunteer team from your business to complete a service project in the community i.e. landscaping, painting, light construction, etc.
- Conduct a food, toy, or school supply drive at your business for a local agency or school.
- Be a Gwinnett Great Days of Service Sponsor.
