She was a wonderful woman with a kind and loving spirit. She always did everything within her power to help our school community prosper and grow, all in an effort to help our students reach their fullest potential. That same spirit was embodied in the selfless work and tireless service you were all able to provide for us, at Kanoheda Elementary, as part of the Gwinnett Great Days of Service. As I mentioned before to Dina and the students working as volunteers, not only was this project appreciated by our entire school family, but it was also witnessed by all of our students. That visible and tangible lesson is one of those precious “teachable moments” that will last long after the work on Shelaine’s garden is finished. Thank you so very much again for everything you were all able to accomplish. The work done by Gwinnett Great Days of Service is, and will continue to always be, greatly appreciated by us all.” Angel Rodriguez, Kanoheda Elementary

The transformation is incredible, and they have successfully built a monument that symbolizes just how much Gwinnett truly supports the education of our children. We at Richards Middle School endeavor to be good neighbors, and truly appreciate being the recipient of neighborly goodwill in this particular instance. In short, we truly thank the volunteers and the citizens of Gwinnett.” Reginald Kirkland, Richards Middle School
