When did Great Days of Service start?
Great Days started in 1999! We are honored for the community’s continued support to make a difference with this event for the past 17 years and we look forward to many more!
Can I volunteer as an individual or do I need a team?
Great Days of Service accepts individuals, corporate teams, families and anyone who wants to participate. As an individual, you may be put with a volunteer team.
What’s the cost?
There is no cost to participate – we provide most of the supplies for the projects and require in-kind and cash donations to accomplish this. We do encourage volunteers to bring their own work gloves and get ready to get dirty!
Can children volunteer?
Many of the agencies we work with allow children to volunteer and ask that they be accompanied by an adult.
Is it an all day event?
Most of our projects start at 9 am and finish by 1 pm on both days. A few may go longer; however, we will work with you to ensure the project fits your group, your company team, or your family and expectations are known!
What happens if it rains?
We are rain or shine for our event! We can share some great stories of teams who still made the project work despite the weather. It is Georgia, so you never know what to expect in October. We hope you’ll make memories with us, regardless of the meterologist’s forecast. If projects can’t be completed, we will help scheduled a make-up session.
Where do I sign up?
You can register on Volunteer Gwinnett for a variety of projects.
